About Me
Hi, I’m Sylvia: the heart and voice behind Sylvia’s Moments.
From as early as I can remember, food has always been part of my story. At just 10 years old, I made my very first meal for my family, and I’ve been in love with cooking ever since. Growing up, I even turned my childhood playgroup into a little “cooking club.” With household ingredients (often gotten through a few clever tricks), we cooked up real dishes. They weren’t always perfect, but sharing those meals filled us with laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories. That’s when I realized food isn’t just about eating, it’s about connection, creativity, and love.
Today, I’m a proud mom. Watching my little one grow, explore, and hit milestones has been one of my greatest joys. Motherhood has taught me patience, balance, and the art of juggling family life with personal passions and career. I share this journey openly because I know many mothers walk the same path, and together we can learn, laugh, and grow.
Beyond cooking and parenting, I carry another passion: teaching. My mum was a devoted and beloved teacher, and I am grateful to have inherited that trait from her. I love explaining and breaking down ideas in a way that makes sense, especially to beginners. For me, teaching is about connection and clarity, and I find joy in helping others understand and grow.
Through Sylvia’s Moments, I hope to bring you stories, recipes, and reflections from my kitchen, my family, and my heart. This is not about perfection, but about celebrating small wins, sharing experiences, and building a community rooted in love, family, and learning.
Thank you for stopping by. I’m so glad you’re here, and I hope you find something in these moments that inspires you, makes you smile, or reminds you of the simple joys of life.
